Royles Pt. 2

Sydney's limo pulled up to an apartment building and she all but yanked me out of the backseat. There was a crowd of people bustling in and out of the doorway and an impeccably dressed doorman smiling and conversing with as many of them as he could.
I followed Sydney through the crowd and past him into the lobby and we stopped behind a group of people waiting for the elevator. Sydney pulled a compact mirror out of her bag trying to see her whole face in it at once.
"How do I look? Is my make-up ok?" she asked me.
"Yes it's fine. It looks good," I assured her for what felt like the hundredth time.
"It better. Malachi will crucify me if it doesn't."
Sydney looked at my face and her brow furrowed in disapproval.
"I know you said you didn't want lip gloss but you need some," she told me, reaching into her bag. She pulled out a tube of cotton candy colored gloss and before I could protest, brushed it back and forth across my lips.
"Much better," she said with a smile, just as the elevator dinged its arrival. We all herded into the tiny room together and I found myself between the wall and a man carrying a reuasable grocery bag stuffed to the top with garlic.
As soon as we got to the tenth floor, Sydney grabbed my hand again as if I was a small child she couldn't risk losing and pulled me off the elevator into a hallway. It had dark blue carpet and wallpaper with ornate gold colored designs. As we walked I could hear the sound of music growing louder and louder. Stopping in front of a door labeled 110, Sydney took a deep breath and grabbed the door handle. She turned to me with a face full of excitement.
"Are you ready for the best party of your life?"
Before I could answer yes or no, she had pushed the door open and I was walking into a stranger's apartment. It was a very open space where the living room and kitchen all blended together and the entire thing was packed wall to wall with people dancing and drinking. Sydney weaved through them expertly and now I wished she had kept holding my hand as I tried to keep up with her. Finally we made it into the kitchen area where a tall dark skinned guy wearing green pants and a white button up top stood holding a martini and talking loudly to the several girls gathered around him.
"And that's when I finally had to tell her that her shoes were so last season," he said, and they all burst out laughing. Sydney shoved her way into the circle and held her arms out for a hug.
"Malachi, babe, happy birthday!" she said, as he held out his arms to hug her back. They embraced and it looked like she shoved something into his pocket. When they came apart Malachi winked at her and she smiled back.
"For later," she murmured, and I could barely hear her over the music.
"Who is this newbie?" Malachi asked, looking me up and down. I suddenly felt very self conscious and grateful that Sydney had insisted on the lip gloss.
"This is Robin," Sydney told him. "She was about to get mugged and I saved her. She didn't have any plans tonight and my date canceled so-"
  "Tyler's not coming?" Malachi interrupted.
"Of course he's coming," Sydney answered. "But you know I like to bring a girlfriend too."
"Well, speaking of boyfriends, you won't believe what Aaron got me for my birthday," Malachi said, taking a sip from his drink.
"Oh show me, show me," Sydney demanded, jumping up and down in her heels.
"I don't know if it's the right-time-to show you," Malachi said, pulling up his left arm and bending at the elbow to show off what hung from his wrist.
Sydney gasped and I felt my jaw drop.
"Are those-" I started to ask. Malachi nodded.
"Diamonds. He got me a diamond encrusted watch."
I looked at Malachi in shock. What kind of people was I hanging out with? People who owned giant apartments with multiple chandeliers, carried designer bags, had limo drivers and wore watches covered in diamonds.
"I need a drink," I said out loud to no one in particular.
"Go check out the bar," Malachi said, pointing across the room. "The specialty tonight is a cosmo."
Of course his apartment had its own bar. Maybe there was also a balcony with a pad for landing helicopters or a room where he kept his exotic pets like a tiger on a gold leash.
I approached the bar and asked the bartender for a special and moments later was handed a cosmo. I realized I had no cash on me for a tip and so I thanked him and tried to slip back into the crowd of people and disappear before he could judge me.
I stood sipping my drink and tried to absorb the moment. Everyone around me was dressed to the nines: girls in designer dresses that hugged them in all the right places and men in dress pants and shirts that were somehow simultaneously dressy and casual. The room smelled of sweat, weed and expensive perfumes. Balloons were scattered across the floor and some of the more goofy partygoers were wearing cone shaped birthday hats. Some of them were intently participating in conversation while others danced to whatever song the DJ in the corner put on.
Sydney was right, this was not like any party I had ever been to. Most of the parties I attended in my life were in an apartment one quarter this size with one couch big enough for three people maybe, everyone else sat on the floor. We all drank cheap beer, listened to Spotify and talked about how shitty our jobs and lives were. Girls didn't dress up and guys certainly didn't care if they were impressing anyone.
I looked over to where Sydney stood with Malachi and noticed her arm draped around a man's shoulders. That must be Tyler. I figured she would want to introduce me so I turned and started walking back to the kitchen. Suddenly I felt a push from behind and stumbled forward a couple steps, cosmo sloshing out of my glass and onto the wooden floor. Thankfully I was able to regain my balance and not topple over. Several people around me looked up with concern but once they saw I was stable, they returned to their activities.
I whirled around ready to let loose on whatever stranger had just almost embarrassed me in front of everyone but I looked up into the prettiest blue eyes and most charming crooked smile I had ever seen in my life.
He was wearing dark blue pants with a lighter blue shirt and expensive looking shoes. His hair was sandy brown, wavy and hung to right below his ears. There was a watch on his wrist though not a diamond studded one and he was holding a glass full of some honey colored liquor.
"I'm so sorry," he said to me. "I was trying not to step on a balloon and I bumped into you. I hope you're ok."
"Yes I'm fine," I told him, unable to take my eyes off his perfectly white teeth and sculpted jawline.
"My name is Robin," I said, holding out my hand to shake his like we were business associates at a meeting.
"Zach," he responded, taking my hand firmly in his and shaking it. "Its nice to meet you. I don't think I've seen you at Malachi's parties before."
"Oh I'm uh-" I paused, not ready to tell the first person I met here that I was a tag-along charity case.
"I'm a new friend of Malachi's. We met very recently."
"Well I'm glad he met you so that I get to meet you too," Zach told me, looking me up and down and not trying to hide it.
  "You're beautiful."
I chuckled and motioned to his glass.
"You must have had one too many of those if you're saying something like that."
Zach looked at me solemnly and shook his head.
"This is my first one and I've barely touched it. You're beautiful."
I felt myself blushing and started to wish this was the kind of party where all the lights were off.
"Do you want to dance?" Zach asked. I nodded without thinking and before I knew what was happening, we had both set down our drinks, his hands were on my waist and my backside was pressed against his front. I could feel his breath on my neck as we swayed back and forth to the song and then his lips gently touching my cheek.
I turned to face him and clasped my fingers together on the back of his neck.
"Do you want to get out of here?" he asked. I nodded and he smiled.
"I live one floor down from here so you can come right back up if you get uncomfortable," he assured me. Although I couldn't imagine that happening. I hadn't had a guy try to pick me up at a party since college and those were usually drunk frat guys who just wanted to be blown before they blacked out.
Zach took my hand in his much like Sydney had earlier and led me through the crowd to the door. I looked over my shoulder and noticed Tyler and Sydney were sitting together on one of the couches with Malachi and another guy I assumed was his boyfriend. Zach and I could have a little fun and be back before Sydney even noticed I was gone.
We took the elevator down one floor and Zach opened the door to his apartment. It was a little bit smaller than Malachi's but had the same wooden floor and open floor plan. I followed him to his bedroom and he closed the door behind me.
His room had a dark green carpet and a four post bed with a scarlet bedspread across it. There were two comfy chairs on the far wall with a table between them and a desk sat opposite the bed. Zach pulled off his shoes and I did the same.
"That's a really nice dress," he said, walking over to me. "But it will look better on my floor."
He unzipped the back and slipped it off of me in one swift motion. It landed on my feet and I stepped out of it and into Zach's waiting arms. He pulled me against his chest, covered only now by a white undershirt and passionately kissed my lips. I felt his strong hands reach down and cup my breasts gently squeezing them and I found myself moaning with pleasure.
"You like that?" he asked, pulling his shirt off and unbuttoning his pants. I nodded as he slipped them off and removed his boxers. He was already fully hard and I found I couldn't keep my eyes off of him as he grabbed a condom from the drawer of his bedside table.
"How do you want it?" he asked, standing fully naked and ready. I walked over to the end of the bed and bent over, smiling up at him.
 "Like this."
Zach smiled back and before I knew it he was behind me and inside me. I moaned in pleasure as he thrust into me over and over. One of his hands rested on the small of my back while the other played with and lightly pulled my hair. I felt a wave of pleasure rush through my body all the way down my legs and then my body gently relaxed against the bed. Moments later I felt Zach's movement speeding up, the sweat from his forehead dripping onto my shoulders. He gave one last thrust and a small groan and then slipped out and took a step back from me.
"That was...absolutely amazing," Zach breathed, walking to the bathroom attached to his bedroom. I stood up and ran my fingers through my hair and swiped under both of my eyes to get rid of any smudged mascara.
"You were amazing," I told him. I reached down and pulled my red dress up and over my shoulders.
"I was going to get a glass of water, do you want one too?"
"Yeah that would be great," Zach called, still in the bathroom. I walked across the plush green carpet to the door and opened it.
A woman stood on the other side of it, her hand balled into a fist and raised as if to knock. I felt the blood drain from my face as I recognized the long black dress.
"Maybe the water will give me enough energy for round two," Zach called out, definitely loud enough for this woman to hear.
I wanted to melt into a puddle on the floor as Sydney's mouth dropped open and she stared at me with wide eyes.
"Oh my gosh, Robin. Did you just fuck my brother?"
